TenetVault is a privacy-first knowledge management tool for developers. This browser extension lets you: • Capture web content — Select text on any page and save it to your local TenetVault memory vault • Tag and organize — Add tags and assign memories to projects for easy retrieval • Encrypted-vault first — Captures fail closed when TenetVault is offline or locked; selected text is never persisted in a plaintext browser queue • 100% local — All data stays on your machine. No cloud, no accounts, no tracking How it works 1. Install the TenetVault CLI: npm install -g @tenetvault/mcp-server 2. Start the daemon: tenetvault start 3. Open the extension, approve its one-time pairing code in Terminal, and unlock your Vault 4. Select text on any web page 5. Click the TenetVault icon to save it to your inbox Requirements • TenetVault daemon running locally (tenetvault start) • Explicit one-time browser pairing with capture/project-list scopes; authorization can be revoked from the extension or CLI • Works with Chrome, Brave, Edge, and other Chromium-based browsers Privacy This extension only communicates with your local TenetVault daemon at http://127.0.0.1:7842. No data is sent to any external server.
