Tempo Kit – Metronome, Tuner, Drone, Practice Journal, YouTube Speed, Loops

Overview
Metronome, tuner, drone, auto-logged practice journal — slow down, A-B loop, transpose YouTube, detect BPM & key, record takes.
Tempo Kit. Less switching. Less setup. More playing. Turn your browser into a focused music practice station: metronome, tuner, drone, auto log practice journal, recorder, and YouTube practice tools, all in one side panel. Most musicians practice with something already open: a YouTube lesson, play-along, backing track, sheet music, tabs, or song they're learning by ear. Tempo Kit keeps your practice tools in that same window, so you can stop bouncing between a tuner on your phone, a metronome tab, and notes you'll forget to reopen. Loop a hard bar, learn a solo, run a set list, record a take, or play along to your own audio; it all stays beside what you're working on. FREE CORE TOOLS: • Metronome: 30–600 BPM, tap tempo, subdivisions, 9 click sounds from classic click to cowbell, and visual flashes. Per-beat accents make any beat louder, softer, or silent. Mini metronome controls (now with tap tempo) keep the BPM running while you work in other tabs. • Chromatic Tuner: Real-time pitch detection from your microphone, processed locally in your browser. Set your A4 reference anywhere from 415 to 466 Hz, pull up standard tunings for twelve instruments, and tap to hear its drone. • Timer & Stopwatch: Run timed focus blocks by piece or technique, time sections, track laps. Show one or both at once; drag the divider to resize, tap it to swap or restack. • Practice Journal: Your metronome and video practice log themselves. No forms, no timer to remember to start. Loop a hard bar for twenty minutes in forty-second bursts and the whole stretch lands in your journal, with the number of takes it took you. – Tag each session, rate how it felt, add a note while it's fresh. Search everything later. – Edit or delete any entry. Your streak is never affected. – Name a day ("lesson with Ana", "recital week") so it's findable months from now. – A Today card keeps a small practice plan on the metronome page, checked off as your practice actually happens. Going away? Pause the plan instead of breaking it. – Export any stretch as a clean PDF to share with your friends or teachers. – Free includes your last 14 days of history. Pro opens the whole log. • Practice Recordings: Record yourself right from the side panel. One button, no setup. Play a take back beside the lesson you recorded it against, download it, or delete it. Recording, playback, download and delete are free forever, and every take lands in your journal as a practice entry. Saving takes into your library is Pro. • Practice Libraries: Save up to 3 presets and drag to reorder. Notes save on their own. Update the preset you're on without losing your place, then export/import a full backup anytime. Backups carry your custom tunings and timer durations, so a fresh install brings your whole setup back. • Set Lists: Line up presets and move through them with prev / next from the Metronome, Timer, Stopwatch, and Video pages. Perfect for running a song list or lesson plan in order. • Practice Reminders: A nudge on the days you pick, or a repeating event in your own calendar so it arrives even when your browser is closed. • Daily Greeting & Streak: A friendly hello, plus a no-guilt streak: miss a day and it pauses instead of resetting. Six streak styles that grow as your practice does. • Your Data, Yours: Export your libraries, your journal, or everything in one file, and delete any of them from Settings whenever you want. PRO FEATURES (Tempo Kit Pro): Try Pro free for 3 days. No credit card. Unlock full video practice controls, deeper practice insights, a larger library, and a setup saved the way you play. • Markers: Press M to bookmark the exact moment you're working on, with a note. No scrubbing back to find it. Markers sit as ticks on the progress bar: drag to move, tap to jump. Each marker can carry its own loop and playback speed. • Speed Control: 0.1x to 3x without changing pitch. • Transpose: -12 to +12 semitones without changing speed. • A-B Loops: Isolate difficult sections and repeat until they feel clean. Copy any loop in one click; search saved loops as the list grows. • Mini Video Controls: Change speed and transpose while you work in other tabs. • 5-Band EQ: Boost the part you're learning or cut what's in the way, with one-tap presets like Hear bass and Hear melody. • Vocals Slider: Turn vocals down for karaoke-style practice, or up to bring the melody forward. • BPM Detection: Automatically detect the tempo of the connected video or audio. • Key Detection: Automatically detect a video's key, so you know what to play over before you start. • Tempo Ramp: Set a start and target tempo and let the metronome step you up automatically. Save the whole ramp inside a preset. • Polyrhythm: Layer a second rhythm over the beat (3 against 4, 2 against 3, anything up to 16) with its own sound and tap-to-accent levels. Both rows stay time-aligned on screen so you can see where the beats land. • Count-In: A lead-in count before the metronome or video starts, so you're locked in by beat one. • Custom Tunings: Save your own beside the built-in twelve. Drop D, open G, DADGAD, whatever your instrument asks for. Name them, search by name or note, and the drone plays them like any other. • Your Timer Durations: Make the quick-set buttons your own. Add the lengths you actually practice, drop the ones you never touch. • Practice Insights: A year-at-a-glance heatmap, a focus tracker with a tempo trend line for each piece you drill, and a no-guilt monthly review of where your time went. • Saved Recordings: Keep takes in your library. Name them, tag them, file them under the song they belong to. • Expanded Library: UNLIMITED presets, folders, video practice profiles, search and drag to reorder. WORKS WHERE YOU PRACTICE: Tempo Kit works with YouTube and Bilibili out of the box. "Use this tab" uses tab capture to connect the practice tools to almost any music or video site you choose. You can also practice with local audio or video files in the Tempo Kit Website Practice Player. Other standard media players work when the site and browser allow extension control. LOCAL-FIRST & PRIVATE: The metronome, tuner, timer, video tools, EQ and vocal processing, BPM/Key analysis, and your entire practice journal run entirely on your device. Your microphone is only used while the tuner or recorder is running. Your recordings, libraries, and journal stay on your laptop. Nothing is uploaded, ever. Payments are handled securely by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Built for musicians, language learners, dancers, and anyone learning from YouTube lessons, online courses, and sheet music.
