Tempo Companion

A small Tempo Web player, with a larger Book Finder when you need it. Uses Tempo Web’s existing connections.

Your Tempo audiobook player and Book Finder, right in Chrome. Click the toolbar icon to open a compact player with Tempo’s emerald-and-mint glass-style design. Continue your current or most recent unfinished audiobook, play or pause, skip 30 seconds, seek within a chapter and adjust playback speed. Find your next audiobook Open Find books, or highlight a title on a webpage and right-click “Find in Tempo”. Search for books, choose the correct edition and compare interactive release results through your existing Tempo Web integration. Refine the search, sort and filter releases, then select a release and confirm before requesting a download. Connected to Tempo Web Tempo Companion uses your existing Tempo Web connections. There is no separate extension login. Audiobookshelf provides your library, playback and listening progress; ReadMeABook provides book searches, releases and confirmed download requests. The player stays compact. Book Finder opens a larger view when needed, and you can return to the player while a search runs. Background playback continues when you close the popup while Chrome remains running. Getting started Open https://tempo.hasbreo.com in the same Chrome profile and connect your services there. Refresh Tempo Web after installing the extension. Enable remembered login for use with the website tab closed, or keep the connected Tempo Web tab open. Requirements A working Audiobookshelf connection is required for playback. Book Finder requires a working ReadMeABook connection with interactive-search permission. Internet access is required. No audiobook content or service account is included. Privacy The extension does not scan unrelated webpages. “Find in Tempo” uses only the text you deliberately select. Searches and confirmed requests use your configured services. There is no advertising or added analytics.
