TEFA Odyssey Helper (unofficial)

Better search, filters, and shopping lists for the Texas TEFA Odyssey marketplace. Unofficial.

Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) families shop for curriculum, classes, therapy, and supplies on the Odyssey marketplace. The built-in search is a loose match — a query like "math 4th grade" can return tens of thousands of listings, many irrelevant. Sort-by-price then just surfaces the cheapest wrong thing. TEFA Odyssey Helper is an unofficial Chrome extension that runs only on the Texas Odyssey marketplace. It uses your existing login to search smarter, filter the way a parent actually shops, and plan purchases with saved lists — without touching your cart or checkout. WHAT IT DOES • Strict search — every word in your query must appear in the product name (with grade synonyms like 4th / fourth / grade 4). • Duplicate grouping — the same book sold by several vendors collapses to "from $X · N vendors" so you can compare. • Real filters — sellers, categories, price, Texas sellers, goods vs classes vs apps, plus subject and grade chips matched from listing text. • Shopping lists — named lists, quantities, notes, "one per child," a budget with what's left, and CSV export. • Already handled — badges for In cart / Ordered from your live session so you do not buy the same thing twice. The helper never adds to cart; you still click Add to Cart on Odyssey. • Saved searches — re-run with one click and see what is new. • Optional backup — keep lists in your own Google Drive (drive.file scope: only files this extension creates). Or save a JSON copy to your computer. WHEN YOU CONNECT GOOGLE DRIVE (optional) Drive backup is optional. Lists still work in the browser without it. If you connect, Google shows its normal consent screen for this extension to create and update a backup file in your Drive. The permission is limited to files this extension creates — not the rest of your Drive. You can disconnect at any time in your Google Account security settings. WHO IT IS FOR Texas TEFA / Odyssey parent-portal shoppers who are tired of wading through irrelevant search hits while planning a year's curriculum against a budget. WHO IT IS NOT • Not affiliated with Odyssey, the Texas Comptroller, or TEA. • Not available for other states' Odyssey marketplaces (yet). • Not a cart bot, wallet tool, or account manager. Checkout stays on Odyssey. PRIVACY IN ONE LINE Your lists stay in your browser (and optionally your Drive). Nothing is sent to the developer. No ads, no analytics.
