Buried in browser tabs? TechMadness is for you. This lightweight Chrome extension can do a lot, and doesn't ask for your money or your data. Features: 1) Mute all tabs in the window with a flip of a switch 2) Auto-mute new tabs 3) Make the web your own by preventing distracting experiences Features 1 and 2 are self-explanatory. Feature 3 is amazing. Let's say there's a chatbot that folks are using to make flishy flashy messages in your browser tabs. You find it distracting. You will never use it. Add a line to the resource list that includes the JavaScript filename or domain the offending script is coming from. Poof. Experience fixed. Let's say you can't help but browse mainstream media sites, but they annoy the crap out of you by autoplaying video. I loved designing this and seeing it come to fruition. I will love fixing it up for folks as we try and take back our tabs. My favorite feature is definitely just auto-muting new tabs. Hopefully Chrome adds that themselves one day.
