Tech Bites Downloader

Sends your browser downloads, videos and links to the Tech Bites Downloader desktop app for fast multi-part downloads.

Tech Bites Downloader sends your browser downloads, videos and links to the Tech Bites Downloader desktop app, which downloads them faster using multi-part connections. Requires the free Tech Bites Downloader desktop app for Windows to be installed. The extension does nothing on its own. Features: • Safe handoff: intercepts a browser download, passes it to the app, and only cancels the browser copy after the app confirms. If anything fails, the browser download resumes. • Video button: a Download button appears on videos, with a menu of available qualities. • Right-click any link and choose "Download with TechBites". • Popup with connection status, an on/off switch for download interception, and domain allow/block lists. • Blob, data and browser-internal addresses are never sent to the app. Your downloads are handled locally between the extension and the desktop app on your computer.
