Tata Companion

A hand-drawn Tata keeps you company online: popcorn for videos, headphones for music, a desk for study, and it acts out your AI.

Meet a Tata, one of 1,000 hand-drawn characters from TATA 1000 FACES, drawn by a Cuban father-and-son artist duo in Miami. It floats in the corner of your browser and keeps you company. • Watching something? It sits down in front of the video with a bucket of popcorn, back turned, facing the screen, and watches with you. Stay a while and it calls a friend or two over. • Music playing? On go the headphones. • Reading or studying? Out comes a desk, some papers and a lamp, and it studies along with you. • Using Claude on claude.ai? Your Tata acts it out. It spins and mutters Tata-words while Claude thinks, and uses a magnifier for web searches, a pencil for writing and a hammer for code. It cheers when the reply is ready and knocks when Claude needs your approval. If you're on another tab, the Tata there tells you. • Nothing going on? It floats around, looks about, and naps if you leave it alone long enough. Click your Tata to say hi. Hover over it and press × to keep it off a site. From the toolbar button you can switch it off, pick your language, or meet a different Tata. Speaks English, Español, Português, Français, Deutsch, Italiano and 日本語. Private by design: no network requests, no analytics, and nothing stored about the pages you visit. On claude.ai it looks only at the interface (whether a reply is being written, short status labels, approval buttons), never your conversation.
