TaskWhole — Cold Email Follow-ups from Any Page
Overview
Send cold email with your templates and variables, and see or mark replies, without leaving the page you found the lead on.
TaskWhole is a cold email and follow-up tool that works on the page where you found the lead. Open a company page, a directory listing or a profile. The extension finds the email addresses on it and tells you where each one stands: whether you have written to them, whether they replied, and whether a follow-up is due. From the same panel you can send, mark a reply, or send the next message in a sequence. WHAT IT DOES - Finds email addresses on the page you are reading, or takes one you type - Shows the full history with an address: every message sent, the reply state, and what is due next - Sends using your templates, with a field for each variable the template uses - Fills variables from text you highlight on the page — highlight a name, press Alt+A, highlight the company, press it again - Marks a reply, which stops the rest of the sequence at once - Sends the next follow-up in a sequence, after asking you to confirm - Remembers the template you last sent with NOTHING SENDS ON A SCHEDULE Every message is a button press. Follow-ups become due and wait for you. This is a deliberate limit, not a missing feature. It rules out a follow-up arriving the morning after someone replied by phone, and a sequence continuing through a week that was meant to be paused. If you send more than a few thousand messages a month, an automated sequencer is the better tool. YOUR MAILBOX, NOT OURS Mail is sent by the TaskWhole server through the SMTP mailboxes you configured, from your own domain. Replies land in your own inbox. The extension never sees your SMTP credentials. It names a template; the server chooses the mailbox and sends. Each mailbox has a daily cap you set, and reaching it stops the send rather than queueing it. SIGNING IN No password is typed into the extension. Connecting opens TaskWhole in a window, you approve there, and it closes itself. Each browser holds its own key, revocable on its own from your account — disconnecting one browser signs out that browser and nothing else. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - Does not send on a schedule or on a timer - Does not read your inbox — there is no mailbox read access, which is why you mark replies yourself - Does not track opens or clicks - Does not scrape, crawl or collect addresses in the background. It reads the page you have open, when you ask it to - Does not transmit page content or browsing history anywhere - Is not a CRM: no deals, stages or forecasts ON THE PAGE, OR NOT AT ALL Three settings, in the extension itself: - Show the bottom panel - Show the bottom panel icon - Don't show the bottom panel The last option adds nothing to any page you visit. The toolbar icon still does everything. REQUIREMENTS A TaskWhole account, and the Pro plan ($5 a month or $45 a year). The TaskWhole web app itself has a free plan that covers tasks, mailboxes, templates, sequences and the full sending record; the extension and the reports are the paid part. Create an account at https://taskwhole.com SHORTCUTS - Alt/Option + A — put the text you have selected into the next empty variable - Alt/Option + S — send Both can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. If one does nothing, another extension has claimed the same combination.
