Screenshots you paste into an AI chat carry dead weight: cookie banners, consent pop-ups, ads, chat bubbles. Every pixel of it costs tokens and buys nothing. Tare zeroes that out. Capture a page and the junk is stripped before the shutter fires, so what you export is the content, not the container. WHAT IT DOES • Select region — drag to draw, or click any outlined content block (article, table, code) to grab exactly that, with a live token estimate as you aim • Visible area — one keystroke, cleaned of overlays and banners • Full page — scrolls and stitches the whole page, junk removed, seams clean • Copy for AI — one click puts the cleaned image plus extracted text and source context on your clipboard, sized in tokens so you know what you're sending before you send it WHAT IT STRIPS By default: cookie and consent banners, ads, chat and promo popups — things that aren't the page. Switch Clean to Deep to also drop sticky navigation and sidebars, or Off to keep everything. The editor shows exactly what was removed and what it saved. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE Everything runs on your device. No account, no server, no telemetry, no analytics. Tare only touches the page you capture, only when you trigger it. Your last 8 captures stay in local browser storage on your device, and uninstalling Tare removes them.
