Record tab or device audio and have it transcribed in your TapeNote account.

TapeNote turns what you hear into text. Record a video call, a webinar, a lecture or an interview, and a few minutes later the transcript is in your library: with timecodes, searchable and editable. So you can listen to what is being said instead of taking notes. For anyone who has a lot of conversations and does not want to lose the details: researchers and journalists, consultants and account managers, students and teachers, and teams that want to find back what was agreed. How it works 1. Press REC (RecordNOW). If media is playing in the tab, TapeNote records that tab; otherwise all sound on your device. You can also choose yourself: "This tab" or "All sound". 2. Press STOP. The recording goes to your TapeNote account and is transcribed in the cloud. 3. Open the transcript in the web app: read, search, jump to the right moment with the timecodes, edit the text, export to text, Markdown or subtitles, or share a link. Good to know - Recording continues when you close the popup, and you keep hearing the tab. A REC label on the icon and a VU meter show it is running. - You can add your microphone, for your own voice in an online meeting. The browser asks for permission once. - You can pause; the pause is left out of the recording. - If the connection drops, the recording is kept and the upload continues later. - No bots joining your meeting: TapeNote records what your browser plays. - You need a TapeNote account. Sign up with email, Google or Microsoft. What it costs You start for free with 60 credits a month: 1 credit is 1 minute of cloud transcription, enough for an hour. Need more? Buy credits that never expire, or choose Pro for unlimited transcription (€9.99 a month). You buy in the web app. Privacy Nothing is recorded until you press REC. Your recordings and transcripts are stored in the EU (Frankfurt), visible only to you and your workspace, and are not used to train AI models or sold. No ads. If you record other people, ask them first. The extension does not read web pages and only talks to TapeNote itself.
