Taopeiva Store Inspector helps ecommerce operators research public Shopify storefronts directly from a Chrome side panel. Open a public storefront, choose Analyze, grant access to that storefront when Chrome requests it, and review publicly available catalog, product, change, and storefront technology signals without leaving the page. Interpretation second. The extension does not claim access to private sales volume, revenue, inventory quantities, or other information that a public storefront does not expose. Public best-seller ordering is treated only as ranking evidence. It is not presented as verified unit sales or revenue. Some storefronts may restrict, truncate, rate-limit, or customize public catalog endpoints. When Taopeiva cannot verify a complete catalog, the result is identified as partial instead of being presented as complete. LOCAL-FIRST PRIVACY Storefront inspection runs in the user's browser against storefronts the user explicitly chooses to analyze. Competitor catalog contents, saved stores, snapshots, change history, Product / SKU Watchlist targets, export presets, and related research data are designed to remain in local browser storage / IndexedDB. Taopeiva's commercial API is used for product operations such as installation identity, optional account authentication, license and entitlement verification, billing status, feature configuration, announcements, and limited privacy-reviewed operational events. Store domains, full URLs, product titles, SKU values, storefront HTML, and catalog contents are not accepted as operational-event properties by the Taopeiva API. FREE AND PRO Free users can use core storefront research without creating an account. Current Free capabilities include core Shopify detection, storefront technology signals, limited catalog research, supported CSV export, up to 3 saved competitor stores, and up to 3 full Change Intelligence detail views per calendar month before the detailed view returns to a teaser / upgrade state. Pro expands the experience with full-catalog access where the storefront allows it, XLSX and image export, full snapshot comparison, multi-store compare, export presets, higher saved-store limits, and additional supported research workflows. Exact plan availability, limits, and pricing are shown inside the product. WATCH MODE Watch Mode performs bounded browser-side checks for eligible saved competitors while Chrome is available. It is not a 24/7 cloud monitoring service. Chrome notification permission is optional. When granted, supported verified changes may also be surfaced as Chrome notifications. BILLING Payments are processed by Stripe. Taopeiva does not collect or store full payment-card details. BETA NOTICE This is a pre-release version intended for controlled testing. Beta users may encounter compatibility issues, incomplete results on unusual storefront implementations, or behavior that changes before the production release. Feedback from this beta is used to validate storefront compatibility, catalog completeness handling, Chrome side-panel layouts, account and billing workflows, exports, and change intelligence.
