The extension can download and store selected Sefaria texts locally on your device so previously saved material can be opened later without an internet connection. The extension uses local browser storage for a limited, study-specific purpose: it saves downloaded Sefaria text data for offline access, stores basic offline metadata, and remembers whether offline mode is enabled. It also lets users manage this stored content with cache controls such as viewing cached item counts and clearing saved texts. Some resources still require an internet connection, including external websites and embedded services such as HebrewBooks, Otzar, Google Books, and other online-only sources.
