Overview

Dictate math, get LaTeX inserted at your cursor in Overleaf.

Speak your math, get LaTeX in Overleaf. TalkToLaTeX lets you dictate equations out loud and drops the LaTeX straight into your Overleaf editor, right where your cursor is. No typing out \frac, \sum, or \begin{equation} by hand, and no copy-pasting from another app. You talk, it types. How it works: 1. Open a project on Overleaf and click into the source editor. 2. Double-tap your dictation key (Right Alt / Right Option by default, and you can change it in the popup). 3. Say your math, for example "the integral from zero to one of x squared dx equals one third". 4. Tap the key again to stop. The LaTeX appears at your cursor, ready to compile. What you get: - Real symbolic LaTeX, not words. "square root of x plus one" becomes \sqrt{x+1}, not a sentence. - Short expressions come back inline as $...$. Longer standalone equations come back in an equation environment. - Plain sentences stay as plain text, so you can narrate a proof and it reads like one. - Spoken corrections work. Say "actually make that x minus one" and it fixes the draft instead of writing your words down. - If your project has a .bib file, dictated citations resolve to the right \cite key instead of a made-up one. Built for people who actually write math: students, researchers, anyone living in Overleaf who is tired of hunting for the right command. A few things worth knowing: - You sign in with a free account. Your keys stay on our backend, so you never manage API keys yourself. - Your document is never sent anywhere. Only the audio and the transcript of what you just said leave your browser. Full details are in the privacy policy. - The microphone is a normal one-time permission for overleaf.com, granted right on the page. Talk instead of type. Give it a project and see how much faster your equations go in.
