Tagalong is a QA tool for anyone who sets up or checks marketing tags. Load your Google Tag Manager container on a site you don't control, then see every tag on the page in plain English. GETTING STARTED 1. Open any site and click the Tagalong icon. 2. Click "Add this site" and enter your container ID (GTM-XXXXXXX). 3. Reload. Your container is live on that site, in your browser only. INJECT YOUR CONTAINER • Add your GTM container to any site you choose, with no access to the site's code. • Works with GTM Preview and Tag Assistant, so you can debug as if the container were installed. • Optionally block the site's existing container so tags don't fire twice. • If a site's security policy blocks your container, optionally remove it on the sites you list, and only there. • Advanced options: environment preview settings, server-side GTM loader URLs, a starting dataLayer push, and iframes. SEE EVERY TAG • A clear verdict for every page: what's sending data, what's only loaded, and what needs a look. • Recognizes common analytics, advertising and marketing tags, and decodes their events into plain English, like "Page view ×2" or "Purchase · $49.00 USD". • A live side panel that stays open while you click through a checkout. • Copy a QA summary to share with your team or client. GA4 DEBUGGER • Every GA4 event with its parameters, items and session details. • Send just your tab to GA4 DebugView, with no property or container access needed. • Flags common problems: duplicate page views, purchases missing a currency or transaction ID, event names that don't match Google's recommended events, personal data in URLs, and Consent Mode gaps. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything stays in your browser. Tagalong doesn't collect, send or sell your data, and has no analytics. • Site access is requested only when you use a feature that needs it.
