The Tachyo Bar: A lightweight bar appears at the bottom of any page. It automatically hides after a few seconds but can be instantly recalled by moving your pointer downward. 2. Ask Anything: Tachyo understands the page you’re on. You don’t need to copy and paste text or explain context — just type your question, and it will answer using the page and the web together. 3. Highlight to go deeper: Found a tricky paragraph or stat? Highlight it. Tachyo instantly provides an explanation, summary, or lets you use it as context for a larger question. 4. Bring your own context: Docs, PDFs, images — drop them in. Tachyo merges them with your screen and the web to provide you with precise answers without requiring you to switch tools. The faster you get answers, the less you break focus. Whether you’re a student, researcher, founder, or simply someone curious, Tachyo makes search feel like a natural extension of your work, rather than a detour. ➤ Privacy Practices Tachyo only collects the data needed to provide its features: - Page text is read when you ask a question or, if enabled, when an article is detected for summarization. - Highlights, queries, and AI answers are stored in your chat history (kept for up to 24 months) so you can revisit them later. - Uploaded files (PDFs, images) are processed temporarily to answer your questions and are not stored. - Basic technical info and performance logs are collected to keep the extension reliable and secure. We apply PII filters to avoid storing sensitive information such as credentials, financial IDs, government IDs, biometrics, exact addresses, or data from private surfaces (e.g. banking, email, healthcare). We may send your queries and context to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Gemini, etc.) who process data under their own privacy policies. We do not collect passwords, payment info, or unrelated browsing history. We do not sell data or use it for ads. You can clear chat history, disable auto-summary, or request deletion at any time.
