Overview
A tab management extension. Manage your tabs, windows, and history.
TabSidecar is a tab and window manager built for people who regularly keep many tabs open and do not want to lose track of them. If your browser usually has dozens of tabs open at once, TabSidecar helps you stay organized without forcing you to constantly clean things up by hand. It keeps track of your open tabs and windows, helps restore your setup after restart, and lets you close clutter without feeling like anything is gone for good. This is an early access version of TabSidecar. Some parts of the experience may still have rough edges as features continue to be refined and polished. The extension is being updated regularly, often on a day to day basis. For the latest updates and current product information, visit tabsidecar.com/changelog or tabsidecar.com. Key features: - Automatically park inactive tabs so they are out of the way but still easy to reopen later - Save tab and window state so your setup is easier to recover after browser restart - Search across open tabs, saved items, parked tabs, and other stored tab data - Organize tabs by window and move tabs between windows more easily - Reopen parked or previously saved tabs when you need them again - Export your saved extension data for backup - Name windows and keep important window setups easier to recognize - Support pinned-tab friendly workflows so important tabs stay protected For many people, closing tabs feels risky. A crowded tab bar slows everything down and makes it harder to focus, but leaving everything open is not a real solution either. TabSidecar helps by making it safer to let go of inactive tabs. Instead of forcing you to choose between clutter and losing something important, it gives you a middle ground. The AutoPark behavior is especially helpful for users who collect tabs throughout the day. Tabs you have not used recently can be closed from the live tab bar and saved so they can be reopened later. This keeps your browser lighter and your active workspace easier to manage. The extension also focuses on windows, not just individual tabs. If you use separate windows for different projects, tasks, or parts of your day, TabSidecar helps preserve that structure. It can keep track of window state, support restoration after restart, and make it easier to return to the setup you were using before. TabSidecar works well for: - research-heavy browsing - work that spans multiple windows - shopping, reading, and saving things for later - keeping project tabs separated - reducing tab clutter without deleting context - users who frequently reopen or revisit old tabs The extension also includes optional features for more advanced organization, including window naming, backup export, and optional AI-generated window titles. If your tab bar often feels crowded, your browser sessions feel fragile, or you want a better way to manage open tabs across windows, TabSidecar helps you stay lighter, clearer, and more in control without losing the pages you want to come back to.
