Overview

Save every open tab as a named session and bring it all back with one click – in the exact same order.

TabSaver stores every tab in a window as a named session – and reopens it later with a single click, in exactly the order the tabs were in. Made for anyone who researches with twenty tabs open and still wants to shut the laptop at some point. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the TabSaver icon. 2. Hit "Save session", type a name, press Enter. 3. Later, click the session – every tab opens in a new window. WHAT TABSAVER DOES • Saves sessions – full URL, title, favicon and pinned state of every tab, in the original order. • Restores with one click – into a new window by default, so your current one stays untouched. Or into the current window if you prefer. • Opens single tabs – expand any session and go through it page by page. • Renames and deletes – a deleted session can be undone for six seconds and returns to its exact previous position. • Searches – across session names, tab titles and URLs. Press "/" to jump straight into the search field. • Light and dark theme – follows your system setting automatically. PRIVACY TabSaver stores everything locally, in chrome.storage.local on this device. There is no server, no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no ads. The extension sends nothing to the network – it makes no network connections at all. PERMISSIONS • "Tabs" – required to read the titles and URLs of your open tabs. Without it Chrome does not hand over URLs and there would be nothing to save. • "Storage" – keeps the sessions on your device so they survive a browser restart. No host permissions are requested. TabSaver does not read page content, does not inject scripts into websites and does not run in the background. LIMITS • Sessions capture the tabs of the current window. • Internal pages such as chrome:// or edge:// are stored but cannot be opened by any extension. On restore they are skipped and the number is reported. • file:// tabs only open if the extension has been granted access to file URLs under chrome://extensions.
