TabReaper – Auto Tab Closer
Overview
Automatically closes tabs idle for a set time. Keeps audible tabs, pinned tabs, a minimum tab count, and any tabs you choose.
TabReaper automatically closes tabs you haven't used in a while, keeping your browser clean and your memory free — all according to your own rules. ■ Key features • Auto-close tabs after a configurable idle time (in minutes) • "Activity" counts switching to a tab, navigating, and in-page scrolling/clicking — using a tab resets its timer • Never closes tabs playing audio or video • Never closes pinned tabs or the tab you're currently viewing (each toggleable) • Set a minimum number of tabs to always keep — it never closes below that (so you're never left with nothing) • Protect individual tabs by checking them in the open-tabs list • Live "closes in" countdown shown for each tab • Closed tabs are saved to history and restorable with one click • Full-page settings in a tab; switch between English and 日本語 (defaults to your browser language) ■ Great if you • Always end up with dozens of open tabs • Want to auto-tidy clutter while keeping the tabs that matter • Don't want music or video tabs closed by accident ■ Privacy Everything runs locally in your browser. TabReaper never collects or transmits your browsing history or page content. Your data (settings and closed-tab history) is stored only on your device.
