Tabology

Save windows as named workspaces with their tab groups, and open sets of windows across your screens. Never lose your tabs again.

Tabology keeps your browser windows safe. Save any window as a named workspace and Tabology saves its tabs and tab groups as you go. Close it, restart, even reboot: open it again and it comes back exactly as you left it. WORKSPACES • Save the window you're in, or start a fresh one, as a named workspace • Tab groups are kept with their names, colours and collapsed state • Open a workspace in a new window, or load it into the window you're in • Move tabs to any workspace, and into a group in it, from the right-click menu • Colour-code your workspaces and drag them into the order you like • History keeps earlier versions for three days, in case you need to step back SETS • Group workspaces you use together into a set, like a "Daily" set of your two everyday windows • Opening a set puts every window back in its own place on your screens: left, middle, right • Swap one window of a set for another workspace and back again, without touching the rest • Close a whole set in one click, or close one window and choose whether it stays in the set • Save every open window as a set in one go, or start blank and let new windows join as you open them BACKUPS YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE • A backup is saved to your Downloads folder every day, and the last 14 are kept • The Backups page lists your recent backups and exports: click one, tick what you want, restore • Open everything, open just what you ticked, or import without opening • Imports Simple Tab Groups backups, so switching over takes minutes PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything stays on your computer. No account, no sign-in, no tracking, nothing sent anywhere. • No remote code. The only files Tabology writes are its backups in your Downloads folder. Works in Firefox, Chrome and Edge. Open it from the toolbar button or keep it in the sidebar (Alt+Shift+W). Light and dark themes follow your system.
