TabOasis
Overview
TabOasis: Organize Bookmarks, Tasks & Notes
TabOasis turns Chrome's new tab page into a kanban board for your bookmarks, notes, tasks and saved tab groups. You arrange it in columns and folders, tag items across columns, and search all of it from one box. FREE Every new tab opens your board. You name the columns and folders, then fill them with bookmarks, rich-text notes, tasks with due dates and reminders, and whole tab groups saved in one click. Drag cards to reorder them, select several to move them at once, and archive what you have finished with so it is out of the way but still there. There is no cap on how many items you keep, and no trial period. The Widgets view is a dashboard of recent items, tasks coming due, a pomodoro timer and the weather. Press Ctrl+Shift+Space on the new tab (Cmd+Shift+Space on a Mac) to search titles, URLs, tags and note text at once. You can also type bm in the address bar. You can save things without opening the board: from the toolbar popup, from a side panel that sits next to the page you are reading, or by right-clicking a page or link. Your existing Chrome bookmarks import in one step, and you can export the whole board to JSON or Markdown whenever you like. TabOasis comes in English and Vietnamese, with light and dark mode. PRO Pro adds: • the Calendar view, for everything with a date • Focus mode: a full-screen pomodoro timer with ambient sounds, photo backgrounds, sticky notes, weekly goals and a heatmap of your sessions • Spotlight search on any website, once you switch it on in Settings • all 15 colour themes (Free includes Blue) • up to 10 profiles, so work and personal boards stay separate • cloud sync of your board, focus history and settings, on up to three signed-in browsers • every AI action, plus custom prompts Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase. It needs a TabOasis account. AI, WITH YOUR OWN KEY Add your own OpenAI or Google Gemini key for semantic search across your library, generated descriptions, column suggestions and writing help inside notes. Free includes Fix grammar & spelling; the other actions need Pro. Your key stays in your browser and requests go straight from there to the provider, so our server never sees it. YOUR DATA Your board is stored in your browser and works offline, with or without an account. It reaches our server only if you have Pro and press sync yourself. If two devices hold different versions, TabOasis tells you and lets you pick which one to keep. Usage statistics are on by default. They record which features get used, for example that a search happened but never what you searched for, and they never include URLs, titles or note text. You can turn them off in Settings > Data Management > Share usage statistics. A few other requests leave your browser. Site icons come from Google's favicon service, which sees each site's hostname. If you set a location for the weather widget, your rounded coordinates go to Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud. The TabOasis server is self-hosted. The privacy policy, and a plain-language page on what is stored and why, are at docs.taboasis.minhdevtree.tech.
