Tabnest — Personal New Tab Dashboard
Overview
Turn every new tab into a personal dashboard — bookmarks, notes, to-dos, weather, RSS feeds and 10+ customizable widgets.
Tabnest turns every new tab into a customizable personal dashboard. Instead of opening a blank new tab, Tabnest gives you a clean workspace with quick links, bookmarks, notes, to-dos, weather, RSS feeds, search, calendar, quotes, and other useful widgets. You can organize widgets into pages and columns, drag them into your preferred layout, and personalize the look with themes, accent colors, and backgrounds. Tabnest is designed for users who want a more useful and organized new tab page without creating an account. Key Features: • Replaces the default new tab page with a personal dashboard • Add and arrange customizable widgets • Create multiple dashboard pages • Add, rename, and organize columns • Drag widgets to rearrange your layout • Quick links and bookmark widgets • Notes widget with auto-save • To-do list widget with checkboxes • Weather widget powered by Open-Meteo • RSS or Atom feed widget • Most visited sites widget • Search box with multiple search engine options • Calendar widget • Daily quote widget • Embed widget for supported web pages or tools • Import Chrome bookmarks into a dashboard widget • Save currently open tabs into a bookmark widget • Export and import dashboard backup files • Light, dark, and system theme modes • Custom accent colors and background styles • Optional custom background image or URL • Compact layout option • Local settings and dashboard data Widgets Included: • Clock & Greeting • Weather • Bookmarks • Quick Links • Notes • To-do List • RSS Feed • Most Visited • Search Box • Daily Quote • Calendar • Embed How to Use: 1. You can choose from supported search engines. Search queries are sent only to the selected search engine when you perform a search. Privacy Friendly: Tabnest stores dashboard settings, widgets, notes, to-dos, custom links, and layout preferences locally in your browser using Chrome storage. Based on the current extension files, Tabnest does not use analytics scripts, does not create a user account, and does not send your dashboard data to the developer’s server. Some widgets may connect to external services only when you choose to use them. For example, the Weather widget uses Open-Meteo, RSS widgets load the feed URL you add, favicons may load from Google’s favicon service, and search queries are sent to the search engine you select. Disclaimer: Tabnest is an independent new tab dashboard extension and is not affiliated with Google, Chrome, Open-Meteo, or any listed search engine.
