TabMixer - Mute & solo audible tabs
Overview
Find every tab playing sound. Mute, unmute, solo, and switch between them from one popup.
Ever had five tabs making noise at once and no idea which one to silence? TabMixer puts every audible tab in a single popup so you can mute, solo, and switch between them instantly. **What it does** • Lists every tab currently playing sound, across all windows • Mute or unmute any tab with one click • Solo: silence every other audible tab and keep one playing • Mute all / Unmute all from the toolbar • Switch to any audible tab directly from the popup • Toolbar badge shows how many tabs are making noise, even when the popup is closed • Keyboard shortcuts for opening the popup and toggling mute on all audible tabs **Why "mixer"?** A mixing board has four verbs: mute, solo, mute-all, and fade. TabMixer has three of the four. It's a mute-focused mixer, it finds noise and silences it, precisely. If you need to boost or lower per-tab volume, try its sibling extension VolMax. **Privacy** TabMixer does not collect any data. It does not read page contents, cookies, history, or passwords. It only uses Chrome's built-in tab-audio APIs to see which tabs are audible and change their mute state. No host permissions. No tracking. No analytics. **Keyboard shortcuts** Rebindable at `chrome://extensions/shortcuts`: • Alt+Shift+M — Open TabMixer • (unbound by default) — Toggle mute on all audible tabs **Feedback and issues** Public issue tracker: github.com/TomsBack/TabMixer-issues
