Overview
A research assistant for building knowledge as you browse and take actions when you approve.
TabMate is a free AI research assistant and browser agent extension. You can ask about the page you are on, save useful notes and excerpts, and perform multi-step tasks automatically - with built-in approval gates before anything sensitive. Online research can get time-consuming and frustrating fast. You browse multiple sites, repeatedly copy-paste information into chat tools and notes and soon, realize you have lost track of what's where and where's what. This is where TabMate can help. Key features include: - AI-assisted in-context research: Ask questions on any page and receive in-context summaries, key data points, and briefing notes; the AI retains page context to minimize back-and-forth and accelerates synthesis across sources. - Organized notes and workspace: Save, tag, and categorize notes; create folders; link sources; and keep all research in a centralized, searchable workspace that syncs across your devices. - Automated multi-step workflows with approvals: Design task sequences like data collection, summarization, and export; use built-in approval gates to review results before advancing; track progress and maintain an audit trail. - Cross-browser integration: Available as Chrome and Firefox extensions; works seamlessly within your browsing experience to capture information as you explore. - Context retention across tabs: Keeps context as you move between tabs and tasks, reducing repetition and helping you stay in flow. TabMate accelerates research throughput by weaving AI into your browsing workflow, letting you collect, organize, and act on insights faster and more coherently. --- TabMate is free to use.
