Tabloid replaces your new tab page with a calm, glassy dashboard: your favorite RSS and Atom feeds float in elegant frosted boxes over a beautiful photo, with a clock and a friendly greeting on top. WHY TABLOID Most feed readers make you go somewhere. Tabloid brings the news to the page you open most: the new tab. No account, no backend, no tracking. Your feeds are fetched directly by your browser and never pass through our servers. FEATURES - One box per feed: every feed lives in its own glass panel with the feed title in the header. - Arrange it your way: drag boxes anywhere, resize them freely. Tabloid remembers your layout and restores it on every new tab. - Compact and readable: each article is one or two lines with a relative timestamp. Click the chevron to slide open the summary and the exact publication date. Click the title to read the original article. - Beautiful backgrounds: a random photo based on your own keywords (for example "misty forest, ocean sunset, northern lights"), powered by your free Pexels API key. Without a key, Tabloid rotates a small set of gorgeous bundled photos. Photographers are always credited. - Instant loading: feeds and photos are cached and the next photo is preloaded in advance, so your new tab appears immediately, every time. - Clock and greeting: locale aware, with a choice of 24 hour or AM/PM format. - Speaks your language: available in Czech, German, Greek, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Slovak. Follows your browser language or the language you pick. PRIVACY Tabloid collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, and no server of ours involved. Feed URLs, keywords, and your optional Pexels API key are stored in your browser (Chrome sync storage), and feeds are downloaded straight from the sources you configure. NOTE This extension replaces your new tab page. Removing the extension restores your original new tab. Photos are provided by Pexels (pexels.com).
