As of June 2022, this extension still works perfectly, and does exactly what I need, which is to prevent closing tabs that I do not want to accidentally close (e.g. when using a web-app or filling out a form on a page that doesn't itself display a warning when closed). **NOTE: This extension doesn't work on tabs that are already open! Okay - will lock a tab, but why not 'unlock' - then you'd have a tab lock extension that actually works.

Works fine in Chrome but works only partially in Vivaldi (based on Chromium).

Simply does not work. And if it does, the icon should change when on a locked tab OR put a small icon of some sort on any locked tabs. Sure would be nice to find a 'lock tab' for Chrome that actually works.
