TabLock — Popup & Redirect Blocker

Prevent unwanted popups, new tabs and page redirects in a selected tab.

Stay on the page you choose. TabLock helps keep unwanted pop-ups and redirects from interrupting the tab you are using. Open TabLock on an ordinary webpage and choose “Lock this tab.” When you are ready to navigate normally again, unlock it. FEATURES • Tab-by-tab control: you choose which tab to protect. • Popup and redirect protection: attempts to intercept common new-tab, link and navigation attempts. • Blocked-attempt counter: see the count for your protected tab in the extension popup. • Two modes: use Standard mode first or enable Strict network blocking for harder navigation attempts. GOOD TO KNOW TabLock cannot prevent every pop-up or redirect. While a tab is locked, some links, forms or site features may not work until you unlock it. Strict mode can show a blocked-page error or prevent navigation until you unlock. TabLock works on ordinary HTTP and HTTPS webpages; Chrome internal pages and the new-tab page are not supported. It is not a substitute for browser security or malware protection. PRIVACY The Chrome extension processes a tab’s URL and title and stores lock settings and blocked-attempt counts locally in browser session storage to provide its functionality.
