TableLift: Copy Web Tables as CSV & Markdown
Overview
One click copies any table on a web page as clean CSV, Markdown or spreadsheet-ready text, or saves it as an Excel file.
Stop fixing broken columns after every copy and paste. TableLift lifts any table off a web page and hands it to you in the format you actually need: a real Excel file (.xlsx), CSV, tab-separated text that pastes perfectly into Google Sheets and Excel, Markdown for READMEs, docs and AI chats, or JSON for code. Click the TableLift icon and it finds the tables on the page you are looking at, shows you a preview, and copies or downloads the one you pick. No selecting cells by hand, no export button required, no sign-up. Why people use it - Dashboards and reports with no export button: grab the numbers anyway, straight into Excel. - AI chat prompts: paste a tidy Markdown table instead of a jumble of tabs. - Documentation and READMEs: turn a web table into Markdown in one click. - Spreadsheets: every cell lands in the right column, including merged cells. Features - Five formats: Excel (.xlsx), CSV, TSV (spreadsheet paste), Markdown and JSON. - Real Excel workbooks: bold, frozen header row, sensible column widths, and numbers, currency amounts and percentages stored as numbers you can sum and sort. Export every table on the page and each one gets its own sheet. - Buttons right on the table: after you open TableLift on a page, point at any table there and a small bar appears above it. Copy the table, download it as Excel, or open it in TableLift with that table already selected. You can choose to have the bar on every site automatically, or turn it off. - Handles merged cells: colspan and rowspan are expanded so rows stay aligned. Choose whether merged values repeat or stay blank. - Finds regular HTML tables and ARIA grids used by modern web apps, including tables inside frames on the same site. - Live preview with column checkboxes, so you only export the columns you want. - Export every table on the page at once, or just the one you choose. - Download as an .xlsx, .csv, .tsv, .md or .json file. CSV downloads open cleanly in Excel. - Optional number clean-up: turn $1,234.50 into 1234.50 so spreadsheets treat it as a number. - Comma or semicolon CSV delimiter, aligned Markdown columns, typed JSON numbers. - "Show on page" highlights the selected table so you know which one you are copying. - Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+T. Light and dark themes. Private by design Out of the box TableLift only works on a page after you click its icon there. Showing the table buttons on every site is optional and needs your explicit permission; even then, a table is only read when you click one of its buttons. Everything happens on your device. Table contents are never stored, uploaded or shared, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind. Good to know - Chrome does not allow extensions to run on its own pages, the Chrome Web Store or the built-in PDF viewer. - Tables that only draw the rows currently on screen (virtual scrolling) are exported as shown. Scroll or expand the table, then rescan. - Excel files contain values and basic formatting, not the page's colours or links.
