Table Tennis for Google Chrome™ turns a corner of your browser into a fast, clean, arcade-style ping pong table. Click the toolbar icon and the game opens instantly in a popup window — no new tab, no page to load, no account, no waiting. When you are done, close the popup and get back to work. Your match is still there the next time you open it. This is the classic paddle game, rebuilt properly for modern Chrome. A crisp HTML5 canvas playfield, smooth animation, responsive paddles, and an opponent that actually puts up a fight. It is the perfect three-minute break between meetings, builds, emails, and long documents. HOW TO PLAY You control the paddle on the left. Your opponent controls the paddle on the right. Press the Up and Down arrow keys to move your paddle, or use the W and S keys if you prefer a gamer's grip. That is the entire control scheme. Hit Start, and the ball is in play. The first player to reach 5 points wins the match. Get the ball past your opponent's paddle and the point is yours; miss it yourself and the point goes to them. Rallies get quicker as they go on, so a comfortable lead can evaporate in seconds. While you are playing, the arrow keys are captured by the game, so the page behind the popup will not scroll around underneath you. THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard from the toolbar at the top of the game at any time. Easy is a gentle rally — a slower ball and an opponent who lets you set the pace. It is the right choice if you have not played a paddle game in a while. Medium speeds up both the ball and the opponent, and is where most players settle in. Rallies are quick enough to demand attention but forgiving enough to stay fun. Hard is genuinely difficult. The ball moves fast and the opposing paddle tracks it aggressively. Beating Hard takes real anticipation — you have to read where the ball is going rather than chase where it is. Each difficulty keeps its own separate best score, so improving on Hard never overwrites what you achieved on Easy. YOUR MATCH IS ALWAYS WAITING Most browser games forget everything the moment you look away. This one does not. The game saves the state of your match continuously — the ball, both paddles, the score, whose serve it is — so you can close the popup mid-rally, deal with whatever needed dealing with, and pick the same match back up exactly where you left it. Your best score for each difficulty is remembered too, and shown in the BEST panel above the table so you always know what you are chasing. Want a clean slate? Restart drops you into a fresh match at any time. SOUND ON OR OFF The game has crisp arcade sound effects for paddle hits, points scored, and the end of a match. One click on the speaker icon mutes them entirely — useful on a call or in an open office. WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE Everything runs locally inside your browser. There is no server, no matchmaking, no sign-in. On a plane, on hotel wifi that has given up, or in a tunnel, it plays exactly as it does at your desk. NO PERMISSIONS. NO TRACKING. NO DATA COLLECTION. This extension requests zero permissions. Not one. That is unusual, and it is deliberate. Table Tennis cannot read the pages you visit, cannot see your browsing history, cannot access your tabs, bookmarks, downloads, or accounts, and cannot send anything anywhere — because it never asks for the ability to do any of it. Chrome will not show you a permissions warning when you install it, because there is nothing to warn you about. Your scores and your saved match live in your own browser's local storage. Nothing about how you play is collected, profiled, uploaded, or sold.
