Tabivore

Swipe back to close a tab opened from a link. A new tab page with a shelf for pages, quotes and notes you want to come back to.

Tabivore does two small things well. SWIPE BACK TO CLOSE Open a link in a new tab, read it, then swipe back with two fingers on the trackpad: the tab closes and you are right where you were. A tab you opened yourself is never closed by the swipe — it only works on a tab that was opened from a link. Turn it off on any site, or change the swipe length, in the settings. A SHELF FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO COME BACK TO • Stash the current tab with one click, a shortcut (Alt+Shift+S) or the context menu — and keep it open or close it, one time or always. • Stash a whole tab group and restore it later as a real group. • Save a quote from a page with your own note. • Search the shelf, pin what matters, reorder, drag a tab into a group or a link out of it, and undo anything you removed. • Optionally archive tabs you have not touched for a while; they land on the shelf, nothing is lost. A NEW TAB PAGE THAT STAYS OUT OF THE WAY Your favorite sites, the shelf and your bookmarks in one calm page. Light, dark and five colour schemes: Nord, Tokyo Night, Catppuccin, Solarized and Gruvbox. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything stays on your device. No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. Tabs from private windows are never stashed. Export and import your data as a JSON file at any time. Works in Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave). Available in English, Russian, Spanish, French, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.
