Overview
Lets AI agents work in background tabs of your Chrome without stealing focus.
Tabhand lets AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode use your Chrome, with the logins you already have. I built it because I wanted my agents to get things done in the browser without taking over my screen. Each agent gets its own tabs in the background, grouped under its name and muted, so you can keep working while it does. An agent can only touch the tabs it opened, so your own tabs, and other agents' tabs, stay off limits. You can watch along if you like. Every agent has its own cursor that moves, clicks and types on the page, and its tabs show its icon. Click the Tabhand button in the toolbar to pause all agents at once. Tabhand works on macOS, with Google Chrome. To set it up, run this in Terminal: npx tabhand setup That adds Tabhand to the agents on your computer and connects them to this extension. Everything runs locally: no servers, no analytics. Tabhand is open source (MIT): https://github.com/tabhand/tabhand
