TabFreeze helps Chrome stay responsive by safely discarding idle tabs while keeping them visible and ready to restore. Before a tab is discarded, TabFreeze checks for unsaved forms and playing media. It also respects pinned tabs and sites you choose to protect. When you need a page again, click Restore—or click the tab row—to reload it and switch back immediately. Discarding unloads a page from memory but does not close the tab. The page reloads when restored. Website access is optional and requested only to detect unsaved forms and playing media. Icon access is also optional. Both permissions can be revoked at any time.
