TABFINDR IS BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY KEEP TABS OPEN If your browser regularly ends up with 20, 30, 50 or more tabs spread across several Chrome windows, TabFindr is designed for that reality. You may have spreadsheets for different projects, client emails, Google Drive folders, research pages, YouTube videos, documentation, dashboards, articles and useful references all open at once. The problem is often not that the information is missing. The problem is finding the tab that is already there. TabFindr gives you a visual, searchable overview of those open tabs so you can find what you need without changing the way you naturally work. SEE ALL YOUR OPEN TABS VISUALLY TabFindr displays your open Chrome tabs as cards in a full-page dashboard. When visual thumbnails are enabled, cards can show a real preview of the webpage together with its title, domain and other useful information. This makes it much easier to recognise a page by sight instead of trying to identify it from a tiny browser tab. Click a card and TabFindr takes you directly to that existing Chrome tab. It does not need to open another copy of the page. Tabs from multiple Chrome windows can be viewed together, giving you one place to understand what is currently open across your browser. ZOOM FROM DETAIL TO A BIRD'S-EYE VIEW One of TabFindr's most useful features is its zoomable tab grid. Use the size control to make cards larger when you want more detail, or shrink them when you want to see far more tabs on screen at once. With a few large cards across the screen you can inspect previews and titles comfortably. Zoom out and the dashboard becomes a dense visual contact sheet that can show dozens of open tabs at a glance. This is not browser zoom. TabFindr dynamically changes the card size and reflows the grid, so you can move smoothly between detail and overview. If you are someone who keeps many tabs open, this can make finding the right page significantly quicker because you can scan the browser visually instead of checking tabs one at a time. SEARCH OPEN CHROME TABS INSTANTLY Start typing in TabFindr's search box and the dashboard filters your open tabs immediately. Search by page title, website, domain, Workspace or Tag. Simple searches can quickly narrow a large tab collection down to the handful of pages you actually need. WORKSPACES FOR REAL PROJECTS Browser tabs rarely belong neatly to one website. A single project might involve Google Sheets, Google Drive, Gmail, YouTube, project-management tools, research sites, documentation and client portals. TabFindr Workspaces let you bring those related open tabs together under a project name without moving or duplicating the actual Chrome tabs. Click a Workspace and TabFindr can show the open tabs associated with it. Workspaces are designed as a virtual organisation layer over your existing browser tabs. Your tabs stay where they already are in Chrome. You can favourite important Workspaces so they remain easy to reach, and a useful tab can belong to more than one Workspace when that makes sense. TAGS FOR FLEXIBLE ORGANISATION Workspaces are useful for larger projects. Tags give you a lighter way to categorise tabs across those projects. Create labels such as: reference research review urgent production spreadsheet client watch later A tab can have multiple Tags, and the same Tag can be used across different Workspaces. Tags can be created, renamed, deleted, assigned and searched, giving you another way to find related tabs without forcing everything into a rigid folder structure. SORT, FILTER AND GROUP YOUR OPEN TABS TabFindr gives you several ways to change how the dashboard is presented. This means you can use TabFindr as a visual overview one moment, then narrow the view to a particular window, project, Tag or type of tab the next. FIND AND CLEAN UP DUPLICATE TABS It is easy to open the same page several times without noticing, especially during research or long working sessions. TabFindr can identify duplicate tabs and help you clean them up. The duplicate workflow is designed to keep one copy open rather than blindly closing every matching tab. This gives you a quick way to reduce browser clutter without manually comparing URLs across dozens of tabs. MULTI-SELECT AND BULK TAB MANAGEMENT Select several cards in TabFindr and manage those tabs together. Depending on the selected tabs, bulk actions can include: Pin Unpin Mute Unmute Create a Chrome tab group Ungroup Add to a Workspace Remove from a Workspace Assign Tags Close This is useful when a group of tabs belongs to the same project or when you want to clean up a large session without managing every tab individually. WORK WITH NATIVE CHROME TAB GROUPS TabFindr's own Workspaces are separate from Chrome's native tab groups. If you use Chrome tab groups, TabFindr can help create groups from a selection of tabs and can also ungroup selected tabs. This gives you the flexibility to use TabFindr's persistent project-oriented organisation alongside Chrome's built-in grouping features. VISUAL, HOVER AND COMPACT DISPLAY MODES Not everyone wants thumbnails displayed in the same way. TabFindr offers three display modes: Visual - show webpage thumbnails directly on the tab cards. Hover - keep the cards cleaner and reveal a larger visual preview when you hover. Compact - turn thumbnail display off for a denser, simpler overview. Your selected display preference is saved so TabFindr can reopen the way you like to use it. OPTIONAL REAL WEBPAGE THUMBNAILS Visual previews are one of the main ways TabFindr helps you recognise open pages quickly. When thumbnail access is enabled, TabFindr can capture previews of webpages you actively visit and store those previews locally for use in the dashboard. Thumbnail capture is event-driven rather than constantly scanning every page. TabFindr does not cycle through your background tabs simply to take screenshots. Restricted browser pages that cannot be captured continue to use a normal fallback card. If you prefer not to enable visual thumbnails, TabFindr remains useful as a searchable, zoomable tab manager using titles, domains and favicons. LIVE TAB UPDATES TabFindr is designed around the tabs you currently have open. Open a new tab, close a tab, navigate to another page or switch between tabs and the dashboard can update to reflect the current browser session. When a newly visited page becomes eligible for a thumbnail, TabFindr can add its preview to the local thumbnail cache without requiring you to rebuild or manually refresh the extension. The result is a dashboard that stays useful during an active working session rather than becoming a static snapshot. CUSTOMISE THE TABFINDR DASHBOARD TabFindr includes appearance controls so the dashboard does not have to look identical for everyone. Choose between: System theme Light theme Dark theme You can also customise supported appearance options such as: Dashboard background colour Card background colour Accent colour Card opacity Custom background image Background image fit Background blur and dimming A custom image can give your dashboard a more personal workspace feel while translucent cards keep the tab information readable. Appearance settings are stored locally. A DIFFERENT JOB FROM BOOKMARKS TabFindr is not trying to replace bookmarks. Bookmarks are useful when you want to save a page for later. TabFindr is built around a different question: "I know the page I need is already open. Where is it?" That distinction is important. Instead of requiring you to save every working page into a permanent bookmark structure, TabFindr helps organise and navigate the temporary, messy, constantly changing collection of pages that make up a real browser session. You can still use bookmarks exactly as you always have. TabFindr simply gives you a better view of the tabs that are open right now. QUICKLY RETURN TO THE EXACT TAB The goal of TabFindr is not to make you spend more time organising your browser. The goal is to make the tab you need easier to find. Once you see the right card, click it and return to the exact existing Chrome tab. That makes the visual dashboard useful as a fast navigation layer rather than another place where your information gets duplicated. PRIVACY-FOCUSED AND LOCAL-FIRST TabFindr is designed to work locally in your browser. There is no TabFindr account required to use the extension. TabFindr does not require a cloud backend for your Workspaces, Tags, settings or thumbnails. Your TabFindr information is stored locally using browser storage technologies. This can include: Tab metadata needed to present your open tabs Workspace information Tags Settings and appearance preferences Thumbnail cache Optional custom background image data Onboarding state TabFindr does not sell your browsing information. It does not use your browsing data for advertising. Thumbnail images generated by the extension are intended for local display inside TabFindr and are not uploaded to a TabFindr server. WHY CHROME MAY ASK FOR WEBSITE ACCESS TabFindr's real webpage thumbnails are optional. To capture visual previews of normal webpages, Chrome requires the extension to request appropriate website access. TabFindr asks for that optional permission when the thumbnail feature is enabled rather than making thumbnails a requirement for using the extension. If you do not want to grant the thumbnail permission, you can continue using TabFindr's tab search, zoomable grid, Workspaces, Tags, sorting, filtering and tab-management features without visual webpage screenshots. NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED Install TabFindr and use it with your existing Chrome browser session. There is no separate TabFindr sign-up process and no additional account to maintain. Your Workspaces and Tags exist to help organise your own browser, not to create another online service you need to log into.
