TabCritters
Overview
A wild critter appears in your side panel on every page load. Snare it and grow your collection. Offline, no data collected.
Every page you load or navigate to spawns a wild critter in your Chrome side panel. Throw a Snare Orb to catch it — snare odds scale with rarity, from Common all the way to Mythic, and failed throws risk the critter slipping away. Keep browsing and another one appears. There are 4,096 procedurally generated critters across five rarity tiers and eight affinities, each with a unique deterministic look and name. Roughly 1 in 64 encounters is a Prismatic variant. Everything you snare is saved to your Collection, tracked by species, count, and prismatic finds. How it works: - Open the side panel from the TabCritters toolbar icon. - Browse normally — every page load, reload, or in-page navigation spawns one new critter (a short cooldown prevents redirect spam). - An uncaught critter is replaced by the next one, so choose your throws. Privacy by design: - Fully offline. TabCritters makes zero network requests — creatures and art are generated on your device. - No data is collected, stored remotely, or transmitted. Your collection lives in Chrome's local extension storage only. - Navigation events are used solely as a spawn trigger; page URLs are never read beyond an http/https scheme check, never stored, and never sent anywhere.
