Overview

Everything you have read, searchable by meaning.

Ever read something useful and then couldn't find it again? Tabcake remembers the pages you read, so you can find them later by describing what you remember instead of guessing the exact words. How it works: When you spend 15 seconds or more reading a page, Tabcake saves it to your private Tabcake account. You can change how long it waits in Tabcake's settings. A small dot on the toolbar icon tells you a page has been saved. Later, press Ctrl+Shift+K (Cmd+Shift+K on a Mac) on any tab and search everything you've read. On YouTube, Tabcake adds one button below the video. Press it to save the video's transcript, so you can search what was said too. Everything in one small window: Click the Tabcake icon and you'll find four tabs: • Search: look through everything you've saved, newest first. • This page: see whether the page you're on was saved, and if not, why. Forget it, block the site, or pause Tabcake from here. • Add: paste a link to save a page without opening it. Tabcake reads it in a hidden background tab. To save a document, upload it in your Tabcake account. • Feedback: report a bug or share an idea. Report a bug takes a picture of the tab you're on so we can see what went wrong. It's only taken when you press the button. The window comes in light or dark. Pick one, or let it follow your computer. You're in control • Pause Tabcake for 15 minutes, an hour, or until you turn it back on. Alt+Shift+P pauses or resumes it from any tab. • Block any website so Tabcake never reads it. • Forget a saved page with one click. • Tabcake never runs in incognito windows, and it skips pages that look private. If it skipped a page you want saved, you can tell it to read that site anyway. • Card numbers, phone numbers, email addresses and access keys are removed in your browser before anything is sent. Nothing is saved until you say so After you sign in, Tabcake shows you exactly what it collects and waits for you to press "Start remembering pages." You'll need a Tabcake account.
