Tabby Sitter - Auto Tab Groups & Tab Manager
Overview
Auto-group tabs with your own URL rules, plus a side panel tab manager: duplicates, saved groups, idle unload. No account needed.
New in 1.0: a side panel tab manager. Open it with the toolbar icon or Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Y. Tabby Sitter puts your tabs into Chrome tab groups automatically. Write a rule once (github.com → "Dev") and every matching tab goes to the right group, with your chosen name and colour. Why Tabby Sitter: • Two tools in one: most extensions either group tabs by rules or manage tabs. This one does both. • No account and no cloud: sync goes through a file in a folder you already use. • It can't read your pages: no site access and no content scripts. Most tab tools ask for "read and change all your data". • It doesn't fight you: tabs you move by hand stay where you put them. What it does: • Rules by domain, by text in the URL, or by regex • Organize everything in one go with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+O • Side panel: search, drag and drop, multi-select, and sort a group by site • Duplicate tabs: notice, switch, or keep both, with Undo • Saved groups: close a group now, restore it later • Unload idle tabs to save memory • Side by side (split view) on Chrome 155+ • Light and dark themes Sync without an account: keep your rules, settings and saved groups in one file in a folder you already sync (Dropbox, iCloud Drive, OneDrive). Privacy first: no tracking, and nothing leaves your browser. Open source: github.com/Duleepa/tabby-sitter
