Overview
Active tab workspace: group tabs with tags, search within each workspace, jump back fast via the side panel. Works across windows.
Tab Workspace Active-session tab workspaces: Group tabs with lightweight tags across windows, search within each workspace, and jump back fast from Chrome’s Side Panel. Local-only: no logins, no servers, no analytics. What it does - Add the current tab to one or more workspaces (comma/space separated). - See workspace pills with counts; click to filter results. Search inside the current workspace by title or URL. - Click a result to focus the tab (or reopen it if closed). - Rename a workspace (double-click the pill). - Delete a workspace (✕ on the pill, confirmation). - Remove a single tab from a workspace (✕ on the result). - Hide/Reopen the panel UI without leaving the page. Why it’s different - Built for active work sessions, not long-term bookmarking. - Works across any site and multiple windows; no Google-only limits. - Local-first: data lives in chrome.storage.local, so it persists across restarts without accounts. Privacy - No account required. No backend. No analytics. - Permissions: tabs, storage, sidePanel (to show the UI and save your workspaces). Great for multitaskers, researchers, and project teams who need fast, session-focused tab organization.
