Tab Workbench - Local Workspaces

Save tab workspaces, leave next-step notes, reopen selected links, export backups and optionally create bookmarks. All locally.

Tab Workbench gives unfinished work a place to wait. Save the tabs for a task, leave yourself a next-step note, and return when you are ready. SAVE A WORKSPACE Choose a normal Chrome window, review its pages and save selected HTTP/HTTPS links with a name and note. Titles, URLs, order, pinned tabs and tab groups are saved locally. Your original tabs stay open. CONTINUE WITH A PREVIEW Review a saved workspace before opening it. Select the pages you need, optionally skip exact URLs already open, and reopen your selection in a new window. Saved group names, colors and pinned states are restored where supported by Chrome. KEEP USEFUL LINKS Optional bookmark export creates a new folder containing selected links. Bookmark permission is requested only when you use this feature. Existing bookmarks are never changed, moved or deleted. Bookmark Tidy, a separate companion extension, can help organize bookmarks you keep; it is not required. LOCAL WORKSPACES AND PORTABLE BACKUPS Search names, notes and links. Archive and bring workspaces back. Export JSON backups and import copies without replacing existing workspaces. An activity log records restore and bookmark-export progress; interrupted operations are not automatically repeated. EIGHT INTERFACE LANGUAGES English by default. Switch anytime to Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, German or French. Your selected language is remembered on this device. PRIVACY The extension processes tab titles, full URLs, tab groups, workspace names and notes only for its visible workspace features. These are stored in your Chrome profile, not sent to the developer. It reads eligible open tabs when presenting window choices or checking already-open links. No account, analytics, advertising, cloud backend, content scripts or webpage-body access. Opening links or Help visits the chosen external page normally. Chrome may sync exported bookmarks if you have Chrome Sync enabled. LIMITS TO KNOW Workspaces are local to this Chrome profile, not synced between devices. Export before uninstalling. Restoring reopens links; it does not restore form inputs, scrolling or login sessions. Internal browser pages and private windows are excluded. Limits: 200 workspaces, 500 pages per workspace, 10,000 pages total, approximately 7.9 MB of workspace data and 8 MB per import file, subject to available local storage. Limits are not a performance guarantee. Try the built-in synthetic examples without accessing your own tabs.
