Tab Volume

Control the volume of each tab independently, with boost up to 400%.

Tab Volume gives you a per-tab volume slider right in your toolbar. Make one tab quieter, mute a noisy background tab, or boost a quiet video well past your system maximum — up to 400%. FEATURES • Independent volume for every tab — settings don't affect your other tabs • Boost above 100% (up to 400%) for quiet videos, calls, and streams • One-click presets: 25% · 50% · 100% · 200% · 400% • Mute / unmute with a single button (restores your previous level) • Clean, minimal popup — open it and adjust in one second • Per-tab settings persist until you close the tab HOW IT WORKS At 100% your tab plays completely normally — Tab Volume does nothing until you actually change the level. When you adjust the slider, the tab's audio is routed through a Web Audio gain stage so it can be turned down, muted, or amplified, then released again when you return to 100%. PRIVACY Tab Volume collects no data, sends nothing to any server, and has no accounts or tracking. Your volume settings are stored only on your own computer. Audio is processed locally and never recorded or transmitted. NOTES • Internal browser pages (chrome://, the Web Store, extension pages) can't be controlled — the popup shows a notice on those. • Boosting far above 100% can introduce distortion on already-loud audio; this is normal for any volume amplifier.
