Tab Volume Master gives every site its own volume, anywhere from 0% to 200%, and re-applies it automatically on your next visit. Turn a quiet podcast up past what the site allows. No sign-in. No sync. No analytics. No network requests of any kind. Your settings live in your browser's own local storage and never leave your computer. There is no server for them to go to. The only outbound link anywhere in the interface is the "Rate the extension" link, and only if you click it. WHY IT ASKS FOR ACCESS TO ALL SITES To change how loud a tab is, the extension has to run on the page that is playing the audio — and it cannot know in advance which pages those will be. That is the whole reason for the permission. It does not read page content, does not collect browsing history, and sends nothing anywhere. All it stores is the volume you picked, kept against the site's hostname. GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU INSTALL • Boosting above 100% does not work on DRM-protected audio such as Spotify or Netflix. Chrome does not allow protected audio through the processing that boosting requires. Lowering the volume and muting work normally on those sites — it is only the boost that is unavailable, and that is a platform limit rather than a bug. • Tabs that were already open when you installed will need one reload before they can be controlled. Extensions can only attach to a page as it loads. The popup detects this and offers you a reload button. • Volume is remembered per hostname, so youtube.com and music.youtube.com are separate entries with separate volumes. Two sites that merely share a domain are rarely two sites you want at the same level. • Below 100% the extension uses your browser's own volume control and builds no audio processing at all, so ordinary listening is exactly as it would be without it installed. The processing only switches on when you ask for a boost. Found a site where it misbehaves? Please report it rather than leaving a one-star review — most of these turn out to be one unusual audio player, and most are fixable.
