Tab Volume Controller gives you independent volume control for every tab in your browser. No more being overwhelmed by a loud video while you’re trying to listen to music or watch a webinar – simply adjust each tab’s volume from a clean popup interface. ✨ Features 🎚️ Per‑tab volume sliders – Each captured tab gets its own slider. 🔊 Smart filtering – Only tabs playing audio are shown, but captured tabs remain accessible even when silent. 💾 Persistent volume – Your volume settings are saved and restored across browser sessions. 🎨 Modern design – Clean, dark‑light theme with smooth animations. ⚡ Lightweight & fast – Uses Chrome’s built‑in tabCapture API, no heavy background processing. 🔧 How to Use Click the extension icon in the toolbar. Find the tab you want to control – it will appear if it’s playing audio. Click Capture – the tab will be muted and a volume slider will appear. Drag the slider to adjust the volume. The original tab stays muted, so you only hear the level you set. To stop controlling a tab, click Stop – the tab will unmute and return to normal. 📦 Permissions Explained tabCapture – Required to capture the audio stream from a tab. tabs – Needed to list open tabs and get their titles/audio status. storage – Used to remember your volume settings. offscreen – Allows the extension to play audio in the background. host_permissions – Necessary to capture audio from any website you visit. The extension does not collect or transmit any data. Your volume settings are stored locally on your device.
