Find the tab you want to control – it will appear if it’s playing audio. Click Capture – the tab will be muted and a volume slider will appear. Drag the slider to adjust the volume. The original tab stays muted, so you only hear the level you set. To stop controlling a tab, click Stop – the tab will unmute and return to normal. 📦 Permissions Explained tabCapture – Required to capture the audio stream from a tab. tabs – Needed to list open tabs and get their titles/audio status. storage – Used to remember your volume settings. offscreen – Allows the extension to play audio in the background. host_permissions – Necessary to capture audio from any website you visit. The extension does not collect or transmit any data. Your volume settings are stored locally on your device.
