Tab Sweep
Overview
Find duplicate tabs and tabs you have not used in days. Close or sleep them in one click. Nothing leaves your device.
Tab Sweep helps you clean a crowded Chrome window. It finds: • Duplicate tabs (the same page open more than once) • Stale tabs (not viewed in 3, 7, 14, or 30 days) Then you can: • Close the extra copies (the most recently used tab is kept) • Sleep stale tabs (Chrome unloads them from memory; they stay in your tab bar) • Close stale tabs How to use 1. Click the Tab Sweep icon. 2. Check the duplicate and stale counts. 3. Close duplicates, or sleep/close stale tabs. 4. Click a row to jump to that tab. Pinned tabs are left alone. Sleep uses Chrome’s built-in discard — it does not replace pages with a fake “suspended” screen. Privacy Tab Sweep reads the URL, title, and last-used time of tabs that are currently open, only so it can find duplicates and old tabs. That information stays on your computer. There is no account, no analytics, and no server. Single purpose: find and clean duplicate and unused tabs.
