Tab Sway
Overview
A calm browser focus indicator that helps you notice drift and return to your chosen work tab.
Tab Sway is a calm focus indicator for Chrome. Choose the browser tab or website you want to focus on, start a session, and Tab Sway helps you notice when you drift away. Your toolbar icon, page indicator, and right-edge color rail shift from blue to yellow, orange, and red as time away from your chosen tab increases. When you return, everything moves back to blue. Tab Sway is built for people who work across too many tabs and want a simple, private way to stay aware of focus drift without blockers, timers, or heavy productivity systems. How it works: - Pick a normal website tab as your focus target - Start a focus session - Stay on track while the indicator is blue - Notice drift as the indicator warms to yellow, orange, or red - Return to your chosen tab and continue working - Complete the session when you are done Tab Sway is local-first and private by default. It does not read page content, keystrokes, form inputs, screenshots, cookies, or full URLs. It only uses hostnames and session timing to understand whether you are on your chosen focus site or away from it. Optional dashboard sync can be enabled manually in settings, but it is off by default.
