Tab manager for people who open a lot of tabs. Open six links in the background and you normally cannot tell which have finished loading, so you sit and watch, or click through every one. Tab Ready puts the answer on your toolbar, and gives you a searchable list of every tab while it is there. Nothing gets closed, suspended or moved unless you turn on grouping yourself, and that is off by default. It tells you things. It does not tidy up after you. Three permissions: tabs, storage, sidePanel. No host permissions. No content scripts anywhere in the package, free or paid. Nothing is transmitted, and there is no account. It handles hundreds of open tabs. Quit and reopen with your session restored and it starts clean rather than showing you stale rows from last time. No metered allowance, no greyed-out rows held back for an upgrade. - A count on the toolbar icon: tabs that finished while you were not looking and you have not got to yet. - Search the list by title or site, and click any row to jump straight there. - Mark a tab seen without going to it, so the count clears once you have dealt with it. - A spinner for loading, a check for ready, a quiet ring for tabs already open before you installed. The shapes differ as well as the colours, so it works if you do not see red and green the same way. - A pulse the moment a tab finishes, so a glance is enough. - Skip pinned tabs, or tabs playing audio, if you would rather they stayed out of it. "Ready" means the page finished loading, the same signal that stops Chrome's own spinner. On a slow connection a page can report finished while parts are still arriving, and Tab Ready reports what Chrome reports. PRO, ONE PAYMENT Some of this you can find free elsewhere. What is different here is that it all sits in one tool that leaves your tabs alone, instead of four extensions and four permission grants, most of which close things. - Every window in one list, not just the one you are in. - A desktop alert the moment a tab is ready. Open something slow, go and do something else, get told when it finishes. - Duplicate detection across every window. It ignores the things that do not change which page you are on, so two links to the same article still count as duplicates even when one has tracking parameters stuck on the end. Every copy is flagged equally and nothing is closed for you. - A flag on anything ready and still unvisited after a wait you choose, 1 to 60 minutes. - Optional grouping of finished tabs into a native "Ready" group, and on into "Stale" once they have sat too long. Off by default. It only ever moves tabs that are ungrouped or already in a group it made. Chrome keeps grouped tabs side by side, so switching this on does reorder that part of your tab strip. That is the one feature here that moves anything, and it waits for you to ask. - Narrow tracking to only the sites you list, if you only care about a few. US$7.99 once. Alerts and grouping each need one extra Chrome permission. Chrome asks at the moment you switch that feature on, never at install, and never on the free tier. You can take them back whenever you like. WHAT IT DELIBERATELY DOES NOT DO It does not read the content of any page. It runs no script on any website. There are no content scripts in it at all. It does not sync or phone home. Each tab's address and title are stored on your device only, for as long as that tab is open, and the record is deleted when you close the tab.
