Tab Position
Overview
Move the active tab to positions 1–10 using custom keyboard shortcuts. Optionally swap with the destination tab.
Move your active tab to positions 1–10 using shortcuts you choose in chrome://extensions/shortcuts. For example, use Ctrl+Shift+1 for position 1 and Ctrl+Shift+0 for position 10. On Mac, use Command. By default, the tab is inserted at the destination and the tabs in between shift. Enable “Swap with the destination tab” in settings to exchange the two tabs instead. Click the toolbar icon to open settings. Positions include pinned tabs. Moves across the pinned boundary do nothing. When there are fewer tabs than the requested position, the last tab is the destination. Only local settings storage is requested. No page access, browsing data collection, analytics, accounts, or external requests. Shortcuts start unassigned and can be configured for all ten positions.
