Tab Pin — bookmark tab groups
Overview
Turn a bookmark folder into ordered, persistent tab groups. Closed tabs return to their bookmark URLs, and new tabs stay ungrouped.
Tab Pin turns a bookmark folder into a persistent, ordered workspace of browser tabs. Choose your pin folder and click Sync now. Loose bookmarks appear first in an Ungrouped group. Each child folder becomes a tab group, and nested folders stay inside their top-level group. Group order and tab order follow your bookmarks. Keep your everyday pages where you expect them: • Closed pinned tabs reopen in bookmark order. • New tabs opened from a managed group stay ungrouped. • Return to a bookmark URL using the in-page arrow or by double-clicking the page. • Active pinned tabs send navigation to other hosts into separate tabs. • Choose how redirects, session restoration, and the toolbar badge behave. • Bring the same layout to another device using your browser's own bookmark sync. Important: bookmarks are the source of truth. Sync closes tabs inside managed groups when their URLs are absent from that group's bookmarks, including pages that have navigated away from their bookmark URL. Keep temporary pages outside these groups. Only HTTP and HTTPS bookmarks are pinned; bookmarklets and other schemes are skipped. Your bookmark and tab data is processed locally. Tab Pin has no analytics, advertisements, remote code, or developer-operated data collection. The sites you open receive normal browser requests, and any browser bookmark sync remains controlled by your browser and its provider. Start with a small folder: open Tab Pin's side panel, choose the folder, and click Sync now. Use Alt+Shift+P to sync from the keyboard. The extension works in Chrome and compatible Chromium browsers with tab groups and side panels. Developed by Christian Kilb. Website and contact: https://kilb.tech
