Tab Organizer by Site
Overview
Group tabs by website, sort by last use, undo in one click, and jump back to your previous tab with a shortcut.
Too many tabs? Tab Organizer by Site sorts your window in one click, and helps you recover when you switch tabs by accident. Groups tabs by website into named, colored Chrome tab groups Optional grouping by main domain: mail.google.com and docs.google.com land in one "google.com" group Inside every group the last tab is the one you used most recently, the oldest comes first Groups are ordered so the site you used most recently comes first Keeps your own tab groups untouched (optional) Undo button restores the previous layout "Back to previous tab" button and keyboard shortcut (suggested: Alt+Q, changeable at chrome://extensions/shortcuts): press it again to switch back and forth between your two latest tabs Pinned tabs are never moved Choose the minimum number of tabs per group and whether groups start collapsed Privacy: everything runs locally in your browser. No data is collected, stored remotely or sent anywhere. Notes: grouping by main domain uses a built-in heuristic rather than the full public suffix list, so unusual domains such as user pages on hosting platforms may be merged. "Back to previous tab" only knows tabs you have switched to since the extension was installed or the browser started.
