Tab Offline Switch
Overview
Pause network activity for individual tabs to save bandwidth and reduce background resource usage.
Tab Offline Switch gives you a simple per-tab online/offline control for browser tabs you want to keep open without allowing constant new network activity. When you switch a tab offline, the extension blocks new network requests for that selected tab only. Other tabs remain online and continue working normally. This makes it useful when you want to pause background activity from one tab while continuing to browse, work, stream, or research in other tabs. The popup shows the current tab title, URL, and status, then lets you switch that tab between ONLINE and OFFLINE mode. Offline tabs display a clear OFF badge so you can quickly see which tab is paused. Tab Offline Switch stores tab status locally in your browser. No account is required, no analytics are used, and there is no backend server. The extension does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal data. Important limitations: Tab Offline Switch does not work on chrome:// pages or Chrome Web Store pages. Already loaded content may remain visible after a tab is switched offline. Some existing connections may continue until the tab is refreshed. This is browser request blocking for selected tabs, not system-level offline mode and not an operating system internet switch.
