Overview

Mission Control for your Chrome tabs. Instantly search and switch between visual tab previews.

Too many tabs? Press Command+E on a Mac (Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows, Linux and ChromeOS), and Tab Mission shows the tabs in your window as cards, most recent first, with pictures of the pages you've seen. The first card is the tab you were on before this one, so press the shortcut again and you're back there. • Back and forth: press the shortcut twice to go back to the previous tab. Twice more, and you're where you started. • Any tab, one key: keep holding Command (or Ctrl+Shift), move the mouse onto a card and tap E. The arrow keys and Enter work too, and so does a click. • Just type: a few words from a tab's title or address find it in any window, sleeping tabs included. Press Enter to go there. • Grouped by site: your five most recent tabs come first, then a panel for each site with two or more tabs, then the rest. The panels stay where they are as you switch tabs. You can turn grouping off in the settings. • Just this site: when Tab Mission shows two or more tabs from the site you're on, press Tab in the search box to see only those. Press Tab again to see all your tabs. • Tidy up: close a tab with the × on its card or a middle-click. Turn on "Show all windows" to see the tabs of every window together, or "Show sleeping" to include sleeping tabs. • Pictures of your pages: Tab Mission takes a picture of a page while you're looking at it and keeps it on your computer, so it's still there after a restart. Until a tab has one, its card shows the page's own preview image or the site's icon. • Your shortcut, your choice: to use another one, click the gear in Tab Mission. The settings show your current shortcut, with a button that opens Chrome's shortcuts page so you can change it. • Light or dark, to match your system. PRIVACY No developer-run server, analytics or tracking. Your tab list, searches and page pictures stay in your browser. A tab's picture is deleted when you close the tab, and none is taken of incognito tabs or browser pages. Preview images load from the websites or their image hosts, without cookies; site icons come from the copies Chrome already keeps on your computer. Free and open source under the MIT license. Requires Chrome 121 or later.
