Tab Memory Saver
Overview
Unused tabs sleep automatically. No tracking, no backend, 100% client-side.
Tab Memory Saver automatically puts your unused tabs to sleep, freeing up RAM without closing them. Click any sleeping tab to instantly restore it — your session is preserved exactly as you left it. HOW IT WORKS Chrome's built-in tab suspension (chrome.tabs.discard) is used to remove a tab's memory footprint while keeping it visible in the tab bar. When you click a sleeping tab, Chrome reloads it automatically. FEATURES - Auto-sleep: Tabs idle for a configurable time (default 10 minutes) are automatically suspended - Sleep All: Put every inactive tab to sleep with one click - Manual control: Sleep or wake any individual tab from the popup - Whitelist: Add domains like youtube.com or localhost to never be suspended - Statistics: Track how many tabs have been slept over time - First-run welcome page with privacy information PRIVACY This extension collects zero data. No analytics, no telemetry, no network requests are made by the extension itself. Everything — tab titles, URLs, activity timestamps, settings — stays in your local browser storage and never leaves your device. No Tracking · No Backend · 100% Client-Side · Open Source
