Overview
Limit open tabs globally and per domain
Control the maximum number of open tabs — globally and per website. Tab Limiter helps you keep your browser under control by limiting how many tabs you can open. It keeps your workspace clean, reduces mental overload, and makes it easier to avoid impulsively opening addictive sites like news feeds, social networks, and endless scrolling pages. Set a global tab limit to cap the total number of open tabs across all sites. Or add per-domain rules for fine-grained control (for example: 1 tab for a social network, 2 tabs for a news site, 5 tabs for work tools). When a limit is exceeded, you can choose what happens: block the new tab with a notification, or automatically close the oldest one to make room. The behavior can be set globally and overridden per domain. Optional badge (disabled by default): turn on an icon badge that shows how many tabs you have left for the currently active website.
